Who runs this site
This website is operated and published by JADSOFT, a small software house based in Poland. JADSOFT is the sole operator of all three language editions. This portal has been online since 2013 and grew out of three sister sites — bateseyeexercises.com (English), ejerciciosvision.com (Spanish) and merenshu.com (Japanese) — which are now maintained as a single, unified application. You can reach us any time at
office@bateseyeexercises.com.
What this site is
This portal is a practical library of 43 eye-relaxation and vision-training exercises based on the method published by the American ophthalmologist Dr. William H. Bates in 1920, complemented by a free
exercise plan generator that builds a personal practice schedule. It is a self-care resource, not a medical service: nothing here replaces professional eye care. We encourage every visitor to consult an ophthalmologist before starting the exercises and to keep up regular eye examinations.
Our editorial approach
We did not invent the exercises described here. They were ported faithfully from classic sources — above all Dr. Bates' own writings and later popularizations such as Leo Angart's books — and we name those sources on the relevant pages. We are equally open about the status of the method: the Bates method is scientifically contested and is not accepted by mainstream ophthalmology, and we say so plainly instead of hiding it. Wherever an exercise involves any risk, a clear warning is placed before it. The history of Dr. Bates and his method is described on our
Basic information page.
